Job Overview:
Manage the departmental planning for logistics and responsible for the smooth, cost effective delivery of products from all duty free suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating inventory management and ordering processes, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement reporting tools and processes to measure key factors - availability, accuracy, on-time delivery, cycle time and cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain transportation systems and relationships with appropriate suppliers both domestic and international to ensure safe, cost effective, and smooth flow of materials and products to and from Duty Free bonded stores and other storage locations in Abu Dhabi.
  • Monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures in various phases of the supply chain, assessing the data collected and implementing process improvements to address any complications or faults.
  • Manage a team of Duty Free Agents and outsourced EASC staff operating 24/7, including rostering and training requirements.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining all logistics documentation and archives.
  • Coordination of all import and export activities, including conforming to customer and government regulations, and preparing and storing related documentation.
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Education:
  • University degree or equivalent qualification in the field of Business Management or Supply Chain/logistics is a minimum requirement.
  • 7-10 years logistics or supply chain management experience (preferably retail), at least 5 of which in management roles
  • Experience designing and implementing Inventory Management processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an attention to detail
  • Proven ability to ensure that products are delivered in a good state and on time
  • Highly effective motivator with strong written and spoken communication skills
  • An ability to handle the pressures arising from having to meet deadlines and targets
  • Able to evaluate complex situations and find solutions
  • Delivering excellent customer service in a cost effective way
