Job Overview:
We are looking to hire Trade Finance Officer to join our Trade Finance Team.

Job Duties:

•Check and authorise trade finance transactions, ensuring all activities are completed within timescales and with a high degree of accuracy, whilst providing excellent customer service, to both external and internal customers, and adhering to all appropriate process and procedures.
•Verify and authorise outward remittances and ensure all remittance requests are processed and reconciled by end of day.
•Check import and export documents under L/C, check and authorize guarantee to be issued and authorize the Trade finance swift messages through Fwift Alliance.
•Liaise with Trade Finance customers and resolve queries / problems or seek clarifications.
•Assist to identify and provide solutions on potential risks areas and implement the proposed solutions.
•Ensure no operational losses happen due to errors or lapse in laid down controls.
•Ensure compliance with policy, procedures, standards and reporting requirements, plus any relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
•Ensure staff reporting meets service standards as per Service Level Agreements or cut-off times mentioned in operating procedures.
•Identify and initiate improvements to work, customer service, quality, work processes and organisational matters in order to contribute to business efficiency goals.
•Collate information, produce and submit reports to management to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of information to management as required.
•Escalate promptly if any irregularities/incident that may lead to risk or financial loss.
•Be proactive in a wide range of customer enquiries and issues, resolving these or escalating as appropriate.
•Ensure that individuals under supervision have appropriate levels of competency and skills in order to effectively carry out their roles.
•Manage the appraisal, recruitment, development and training of team members to ensure their individual and collective performance meets or exceeds the required standard.
•Maintain awareness of the department's Business Continuity Plan and undertake appropriate training to ensure correct action is taken in the event of an incident or disruption

Skills

•Experience -
• Should have adequate knowledge of all Trade Finance products, UCP 600 & be familiar with Trade finance rules & regulations
• Should have minimum 4 years’ experience in Trade Finance and handling a similar role
