Job Purpose:
Alpha Data is looking for a qualified individual who will oversee contracts negotiation and their ongoing management.

The position will have two primay focuses;

1- Review all legal documents pertaining to the companies ongoing contract work and agreements with suppliers, partners, and clients.  This includes the required input for any tenders which the company participates in so that the various business teams may have clear foresight on any possible risks during the execution. Negotiations for any agreements or contracts will also fall under the responsibility of the Contracts Manager so that the maximum benefit can be gained for Alpha Data.

2- Oversee ongoing contracts with our customers and/or partners to make sure that they are properly managed from a commercial aspect. This focus will require a sound understanding of project management methodologies and familiarity specifically with construction and IT implementation type contracts. 

This role will be pivotal in driving the efficiency of project execution in Abu Dhabi and protecting Alpha Data from difficult situations resulting from bad contracts or execution. 

The main functions include:

• Monitoring the overall contracting process to ensure ongoing compliance with the Company’s internal policies and procedures.

• Assisting Business Departments with the drafting, negotiating, and editing of a broad range of legal documents including but not limited to NDAs, partnering agreements, contracting agreements, FIDIC, ammendments, licenses, correspondence, form confidential disclosure agreements, consulting agreements, and internal memos.

• Coordinating document execution by third parties and MENA authorized signatories as may be required.

• Tracking the status of all legal documentation and maintaining a master list of contracts and related forms.

• Conducting due diligence on Alpha Data’s existing contracts.

• Assisting in preparing materials for Board meetings, shareholder meetings, changes to constitutional documents, application forms etc.

• Assisting the Legal Team with pre-action research and investigation.

• Tracking all reported litigation, communicating with external counsel to secure timely reporting; coordinating sharing of the relevant data with management, and reporting internally within the Law Department.

• Supporting management of external counsel by coordinating and obtaining country specific legal data/opinions, consolidating multi-jurisdiction opinions, filing and searching archived opinions.

• Developing and maintaining a legal precedents database including legal opinions, standard contracts, etc.

Skills Required:

Extensive experience with FIDIC. Excellent Communication in both writing and speech. Able to work closely with high level executives from the copany and client perspective. Fluent in Arabic is a positive.


Bachelors Level Degree in Law, or Project Related Dicipline
