About NPCC:
The National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), a Public Joint Stock company, was established in April 1973. The fabrication facilities then were located on Sadiyat Island, 3 km east of Abu Dhabi city. The present facilities are now located at Mussafah, 35 km from Abu Dhabi city.

Growth of NPCC
In 1973, NPCC was initially established to provide a facility for the fabrication of steel structures required by the onshore and offshore Oil and Gas production industry. In 1978 NPCC expanded its operation by setting up a custom built pipe coating facility at the yard.

In 1979, NPCC ventured into offshore activities for the Oil & Gas industry, providing marine spreads for Pipelay, Installation and Hook-up works. Today, NPCC owns a dedicated marine fleet consisting 13 construction barges, capable of transportation of up to 12,000 tons, lifting single structures weighing up to 2,600 tons, laying submarine pipelines up to 60" in diameter and hook-up and maintenance works. In 1986, with the intention of serving onshore projects, NPCC ventured into manufacturing Storage Tanks & Spheres for storing various types of petroleum products such as; liquid sulphur, water, diesel oil, crude oil, liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), etc

The dynamic growth of NPCC since its inception and its achievements over the years, have placed this National Company in a league with major international EPC contractors involved in the development of the Oil and Gas Industry.

In 1992, NPCC expanded its engineering capability for designing onshore & offshore facilities, loading terminals, storage tanks, pressure vessels and pipelines. Presently, NPCC has over 300 dedicated engineering staff to support the ongoing operations. The design team is fully equipped with latest state-of-the-art computers/softwares to meet engineering challenges.

Job Overview:
During tendering stage, responsible for the review of enquiry documentation and the Scope of Work, perform pre-bid engineering, estimate man-hours and thus provide required inputs for bid preparation. After award of Project, carry out allocated duties related to the preparation, checking and issue of Process Engineering deliverables. This responsibility includes site visits as required and close coordination with other engineering disciplines, Drafting Office Coordinator and sometimes with client's project team. These role holders can be seconded to work as Project Engineering Coordinators based on the size and complexity of the assigned project. The focus will shift from one of deep discipline knowledge to that of coordinating the various engineering disciplines involved in assigned projects.

Job Duties:   
1. Co-ordinates and manages all project planning, monitoring and production control related issues with the Client/Sub-contractors/executing parties.
2. Establish Project Work Break-Down Structure (WBS), Project Control Strategy, Master Schedule and Action Plan for Planning Deliverables issuance.
3. Prepare & Issue Project Planning Package
4. Prepare & issue Project Control Procedure (project specific)
5. Prepare and adopt necessary tools/methods to effectively monitor and control project progress, schedule & resources, so as to ensure the efficient and timely achievement of project milestones/key dates.
6. Periodic update of planning package, progress reports, monitoring package & production control tools in co-ordination and communication with various executing parties (Engineering, Procurement, Yards, Offshore, sub-contractors and PMT).
7. Processes and analyses planning & project control related data/ results. Communicate project status to all concerned, follow up concerns until corrective action is taken.
8. Regular site visits for progress follow up.
9. Identify potential problems, initiate early warnings and alert management with proposed corrective actions 10. Provide necessary analysis and tools for appropriate decisions by higher management. 11. Prepare Invoice back-ups, as applicable 12. Attends meetings (Client, sub-contractors and Internal) 13. Supervises and provide necessary guidance to subordinate staff, ensure accuracy, neatness and timely issuance of deliverables. 14. Provide necessary inputs for various internal management / corporate level reports 15. Participate in the enhancement process of planning system. 16. Resume the duty of Pl. Engineer or Planning Manager during his absence. 17. Compliance with PCS procedures and HSE Standards.

Job Requirements:
1. BSc in Engineering or equivalent.
2. 6 year’s of professional experience in Project planning, monitoring, production control & reporting.
3. Very Good knowledge & exposure on planning techniques and planning software.
4. Good skills in communication, organization, follow up, problem solving, team work, cost analysis, initiatives, supervision.
5. Good personality & character.
6. Fluent in written and spoken English including technical writing.
7. Computer literate with familiarity of major software’s related to data handling and Planning systems.
8. Contractual, commercial and cost control awareness and knowledge.
9. Offshore/onshore oil & gas EPC contracting industry awareness and knowledge.
