Job Overview:

  • Manage the delivery of projects, providing business infrastructure solutions and services.
  • Projects managed to maintain schedule, estimated cost within planned scope, with the highest degree of customer/end-user satisfaction. Project scope is typically described as 'medium'
  • To deliver selected complex IT projects to time, budget, and specification.
  • Champion corporate governance requirements and mitigates audit issues in relation to Project management and solutions.

Job Requirements:
  •     University degree or equivalent qualification in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering is a minimum requirement.
  •     Pass English and Analytical test set by Etihad. ·
  •     Qualified Practitioner level certification or equivalent is required for PRINCE2, PMP, Agile methodology or any other recognised PM methodology. ·
  •     Professional status review and certification by qualified practitioner, such as BCS “British computer society”, is required. ·
  •     Certification of governance frameworks, such as COBIT/ITIL would be an added advantage ·
  •     Three or more additional technical certifications (such as MTA, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCA, CCAA) required. ·
  •     Foundation certification in test management such as ISTQB “International Software Testing Qualifications Board” is required if following Testing stream.

Experience – Project Management Stream :
  •     8-10 years relevant IT project management experience. Key contributor, recognised specialist. ·
  •     Successful track record in implementing large scale IT projects. ·
  •     Experience in the airline industry is required.

Experience Testing Stream:
  •     8 years of IT testing experience is required. ·
  •     Experience in system utilities, testing tools is required. ·
  •     Experience in general IT related competencies (infrastructure or applications). ·
  •     Experience with methods and techniques for structured reviews. ·
  •     At least 5 year’s experience of Test management – preferably complex projects ·
  •     2 years Airline experience would be an added advantage. ·
  •     Experience in managing large off shore testing teams. ·
  •     Experience of selecting and implementing Test Management tools/service providers is required.

Job Duties:
  •     Deliver IT projects to time, cost and functionality objectives.
  •     Confirmation within IT on the integration and strategy for the project to avoid any conflicts and duplication of the work
  •     Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  •      Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  •     Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project within a defined scope
  •     Proactively manages risks and mitigation avoiding project delays.
  •      Effectively applies EY methodology and enforces project standards.
  •      Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  •      Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  •     Communicate with senior Etihad internal stakeholders through working groups and steering committees.
  •      Influences decision-making with these multi-business unit stakeholders to the benefit of the project and business benefits.
  •      Manage and negotiate with multi-vendor consortiums in complex projects. 
  • Use strong communication skills, relationships and contractual management techniques to manage suppliers effectively. 
  • Able to capture and manage conflicting requirements from senior business stakeholders.
 Project Accounting: 
  •  Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis. 
  •  Manages project budget. 
  • Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project. 
  • Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices. 
  • Analyses project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization. 
  • Reporting to the PMO till the project closure.
