Job Overview

  • To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Service Logistics Department comprising of; assembly and final checks of all goods required to conduct a catering service of an aircraft; loading/offloading, vehicle movements both airside and landside, customer hand over and final sign off for goods and services provided and customer liaisons in line with company policies standards and procedures.
  • To develop and improve work methods and systems, increasing productivity, efficiency, quality, safety and service utilizing space and labor within all areas.
  • Practice active Leadership though clear, concise communications through employee engagement ensuring that the department operates within budgetary constraints operational expenditure whilst meeting all departments key performance indicators.
  • Build and develop a strong diverse team to achieve high standards where customer service is key to the business success.

Job Duties:
  •     To plan / coordinate resource to meet work loads and achieve planned timelines and review KPIs daily with direct line manager
  •     Assist in the Preparation and presentation of annual budget and forecast for manning and capital expenditure.
  •     Ensure that the company’s hygiene, quality and temperature standards are strictly followed at all times to ensure compliance
  •     Make sure that all equipment, machinery, and installations in the department are in good working condition and well maintained also ensuring staffs are fully aware of safety principles when operating including all necessary training and records.
  •     Evaluate staff performance and recommend appraisals, termination, renewal, and promotions, in due time in order to determine required training needs
  •     Continuously improve the performance of the department by means of audits, checks and briefings ensuring cost, quality, service, safety and compliance
  •     Ensure that all necessary administrative documentation is prepared, maintained and submitted for the department.
  •     To achieve set objectives of the department by making optimum use of manpower, facilities and other resources to meet customers and in-house demands, during normal and peak operations.
  •     To ensure all vehicle operators adhere to company, Airport and local regulations, policies and procedures
  •     Actively seek to reduce the risk of accidents and incidents by means of monitoring, auditing, checks and training.

Job Requirements   
Qualification & Education:

  •     Graduate level education in a relevant field or minimum five years experience in a similar role, fluency in spoken and Written English

    The minimum requirement would be five years working in a similar role. This would be in a Supervisory/management position overseeing an operational logistics department with a headcount of 200+ staff or 200+ vehicle movements per day.

  •     Ability to undertake and successfully achieve dedicated projects within the airline catering umbrella
  •     Good man management skills
  •     A good understanding of Airport regulations
  •     Knowledge of Airport Security regulations/requirements
