Job Overview:
The successful candidate will have to lead and execute marketing programmes targeting the travel trade segment covering brand awareness, engagement and tactical activation that would help meet the commercial objectives of Etihad from this channel of distribution.

Job Requirements:
Qualification & Education: ·

  •     Preferably holds a Masters in Business
  •     A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (specialization in Marketing would be a distinct advantage)

Administration Experience: ·
  •     At least 5 years in marketing, of which 2 should have been at a managerial role ·
  •      Experience within airline / hospitality industry preferred

Training & Knowledge: ·
  •      Expertise in the various disciplines of Marketing Communication such as traditional advertising, media evaluation (traditional & social media), direct marketing, trade marketing, below the line & online advertising · Experience in market sector targeting, ability to address market complexities, product offer development, features-benefits-solutions selling, communication metrics, analytical intelligence with a quick understanding of complex coherences etc. ·
  •     Ability to analyse booking data and recommend/take appropriate action ·
  •      Ability to direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously, including defining and implementing methodologies within defined timelines and budgets ·
  •     Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and social competence, team player ·
  •      Strong negotiation and presentation skills

The role will operate in a high pressure environment to respond to the business needs with reduced lead times, especially when it comes to running tactical promotions and urgent campaigns. Lead times for tactical campaigns can be as short as 48 hours. The job holder must be capable of finding alternative “work-arounds” wherever necessary to enable speed to market.

Job Duties:
  •     Project lead the implementation of the trade marketing plan that covers brand awareness, educational programs, loyalty programs and tactical promotions across the network by integrating with relevant disciplines at HQ and ensuring successful roll-out across outstation(s)
  •     Lead, develop and execute the marketing & communications plans for Etihad SuperSeller (loyalty program for frontline travel agents) including launch toolkit, periodic updates, monthly statements and sales collateral across the network
  •     Managing the development and execution of global/pan-regional frontline travel agent incentive promotions in liaison with the Regional Marketing Managers and outstation marketers as a turnkey solution
  •     Develop agent educational programs in collaboration with the sales and marketing organizations focusing on product & services, network and loyalty programs
  •     Manage the above-the-line & below-the-line comms. requirements (including sales blitzes) for global/pan regional travel trade by interfacing with creative and media agencies, starting with development of briefs right until execution of the media plan
  •     Develop and manage a central activity calendar covering all trade marketing activity (above-the-line, promotions, blitzes and key local actions) to ensure visibility of all customer-facing activities across core markets for internal stakeholders
  •     Develop and manage a competitor report on tactical trade promotions for core markets, monitor industry trends and ensure distribution of the information to internal stakeholders with an executive report of key findings and best practices
  •     Generate post-campaign results and present learnings & recommendations to senior management (VP Marketing, Head of Marketing Comms. & Sr. Manager Global Marketing Promotions)
