Job Overview:
• The position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the University Advancement database, including data input and output, technology management, and end-user training and support.

Job Requirements:
•  Degree from any accredited university in computer science or related field.
• Oracle Certified Professional certificate is a must.
• 5-8 years of experience in the related area.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• The ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
• Good analytical skills
• A good understanding of database architecture, software and database management systems
• The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines
• Good communication, presentation and negotiating skills
• A good understanding of the Data Protection Act
• A willingness to keep up to date with developments in technology
• Good team-working skills
• You should enjoy working in a fast paced environment, where the technology is constantly changing.

Job Duties:
• DBA takes care of performance, integrity and security of a database.
• Creates users with proper authority to access database
• Assists the end users with the required and applications and reports
• Provides end users appropriate training in using database management systems
• Installing and testing updated versions of Database Management Systems
• Preparing database documentation including user manuals
• Responsible for storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures.
• Works closely with project managers, network administrator, database application programmers and Web developers.
