Job Overview:
We are currently seeking the services of a well qualified and experienced individual for the post of Chief Accountant to join our company in Dubai.

Job Requirements:

  •         Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting or equivalent.
  •         Professional Certification is desirable but not essential.
  •         Minimum 5 years' experience in the Accounting and team leading role.
  •         Knowledge of IFRS and local guidelines.
  •         Fluency in both Arabic & English language is essential.
  •         Proficiency in MS-Office tools.
  •         Ability to communicate and work in a multi-cultural environment.
  •         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Duties:
  •         Reviews, posts all transactions and close the accounting period end of each month.
  •         Verifies and processes Accounting systems (payroll) for staff and ensures the accuracy of data and adherence of the system to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  •         Reviews, verifies and validates invoices for Accounts Receivables/Payable and validates cheques for payments.
  •         Reviews Bank Reconciliations statements and requirements, income statements, balance sheets, management reports and financial reports for collection, follow-up and updates.
  •         Maintains the fixed asset inventory system by supervising the recording of all items in the inventory, maintaining pertinent records and ensuring adequate treatment of fixed asset acquisitions' and retirements.
  •         Implements and audits procedures for proper controls to ensure the safeguarding of Company assets and security of funds received/disbursed and coordinates with the audit team for all their requirements.
  •         Controls annual internal and external audits of the company books and ensure detailed review of financial statements.
