Job Overview:
The role reports to the Director, Insurance and the main purpose of the role is to manage all responsibilities associated with insurance for the P&O Maritime Services Division (POMS) and to ensure that the POMS business complies with the Insurance Policy of DP World in a cost effective and appropriate manner.

Job Requirements:

  •     Tertiary qualified in relevant degree;
  •     Substantial practical experience in developing and managing  insurance for major organizations;
  •     Experience in the Stevedoring or associated industry;
  •     Technical insurance management and commercial acumen;
  •     A good understanding of the emerging trends and developments in insurance management practices in multi-national organizations;
  •     5 years exposure to international operations and working in a multi-cultural environment.
  •     High ethical standards;
  •     Strong presentation and facilitation skills, both externally and at all levels of the organization;Appropriate professional qualification and membership of internationally recognised Insurance or Risk Management  body.

Job Duties:
  •     To design, negotiate, manage and administer appropriate global and operation-specific insurance contracts to ensure sound and cost-effective cover is in place.
  •     Provide timely day to day support for POMS and any other DP World departments that rely on Marine insurance products.
  •     To manage claim processes of any significant claims, arising under these programmes.
  •     To provide a range of risk management support services to help manage risk at source.
  •     To provide management services for other insurance policies that are required, including but not limited to Corporate Travel, Employee Benefit Policies and certain Financial and Professional Insurances in negotiation with the Director.
