Job Description:
To set internal operational efficiency goals for the transaction risk management function supporting both external and internal services; to define and implement risk mitigation policies; to maintain fraud to sales ratio below industry levels; to track delivery against agreed SLAs with internal departments and service providers; to drive payment management strategy in addition to supporting key projects.

Job Requirements:

  •     Minimum seven years’ experience in debit/credit card risk management department of any large issuer and acquiring bank or service provider
  •     Experience specifically in a card-not-present transaction environment is a must. Airline experience in credit card sales through the web and call centers will be an added advantage

Training & Knowledge:
  •     Credit card process related trainings
  •     Banking systems and functional training
  •     Credit card fraud prevention application
  •     UATP Atcon Files/card clear files
  •     RAPID revenue systems
  •     Visa/Master/Amex and all debit card types
  •     Chargeback’s and its application
  •     Excellent knowledge of financial accounting systems & its applications (e.g. Oracle/ SAP R3, etc.) fraud management systems (e.g. Falcon Fraud Manager, SAS Fraud Management, Clementine, Octopus or equivalent systems)
  •     Fully conversant with Visa International operating regulations, MasterCard by-laws, MIGS platform regarding fraudulent transactions
  •     In-depth knowledge on impact of fraud on chargeback rights both as issuer and acquirer in card present and CNP transactions

Job Responsibilities:
  •     To drive payment management strategies by working and consulting with different channel teams; maintain the entire accounting functions of credit cards as per the standards of IFRS and MOA
  •     To set internal operational efficiency goals for the transaction risk management function supporting both external and internal services such as process efficiency and service quality norms, cycle time targets, etc.; ensure that measures are clearly identified, communicated and monitored
  •     To define policy for CNP transactions on internet & MO/TO and ensure controls over charge back process on credit card sales are in place
  •     To maintain fraud to sales ratio well below the industry levels; respond quickly to new threats and effectively manage authorizations and work flow based on bank policies and practices; comprehensive case management regarding confirmed fraud reported by cardholders and CPP cases reported by the schemes
  •     Develop and implement cost saving measures on credit card commissions; Negotiate contracts and commissions, ensure tracking delivery against agreed SLAs with internal departments and external providers in terms of processing timelines, error-free operations, quality standards, etc
  •     Ensure training, TAT and SLA adherence with respect to transaction monitoring services. Specialized trainings and on the job trainings are to be provided to all the position direct reports and with various bankers; ensure cascading of all relevant information to all directly involved in transactions
  •     Develop statistical reports on all parameters involved in credit card sales
  •     Support key projects e.g. early warning systems etc.
