Job Description:
The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and the main purpose is to ensure that all communications material produced by Corporate Communications is of the very highest standard, is factually robust, timely, relevant and error free, and promotes the key messages supporting the business objectives and branding of the company.

Job Requirements:
In order to give credible support to the organisation and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and qualification:

  •     Degree in Journalism or similar field;
  •     Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of journalism;
  •     Outstanding command of the English language, written and spoken;
  •     Passionate about writing;
  •     Obsessive about accuracy;
  •     Fast, efficient, reliable, organized with the ability manage competing priorities effectively;
  •     Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  •     Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment;
  •     Ability to display maturity, objectivity and common sense;
  •     Proactive and self motivated;
  •     Sound understanding of cultural diversity, impact and implications.

Job Responsibilities:
  •     Prepare speeches, presentations, press releases, features, Q&As, interviews, statements and any other material as required for the proper positioning of DP World across all media, including in depth, well sourced facts and information;
  •     Initiate and prepare internal communications “news” stories and features for the Intranet that support internal communication key messages and objectives, including editing provided material and preparing original material from interviews and other sources, in close liaison with Global Internal Communications Manager;
  •     Develop and maintain an updated media kit (executives’ profiles, boilerplate, ‘fast facts’ sheets), in close liaison with Corporate Communications Manager, Media Manager and Global Brand and Corporate Marketing Manager;
  •     Ensure that documents comply with the overall policy and messaging of DP World and are in line with the relevant country’s cultural, political and legislative framework;
  •     Is familiar with the reference works and information sources of the trade and maintains a set of constantly updated relevant resources for quick and easy reference, working closely with Market Intelligence to ensure consistency of information being used across the organisation and externally;
  •     All facts in all material produced are checked, sourced and accurate.
